NEWTON, Mass. - Senior Mike Magglio (Winchester, Mass.) scored three goals and set up four others Tuesday afternoon to lead Lasell College to a 14-7 victory over Plymouth State University in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Grellier Field.

Magglio got all four of his assists in the first half as Lasell took a 6-0 lead through the first two quarters.  It was 8-0 in the third quarter before PSU regrouped and scored five of the next six goals over a 10-minute span to cut the margin to 9-5, but Magglio scored two straight for the Lasers early in the fourth quarter to get the lead back up to six goals and put the game out of reach for the Panthers.

Junior Brandon Keith (Marstons Mills, Mass.) led the Lasers with four goals, while classmate Brian Yepez (Hillsborough, N.J.) and freshman Patrick Bresnahan (Manchester, N.H./Memorial) added two goals each and seniors Dave Bulhoes (Billerica, Mass.) and Ryan Koermer (Floral Park, N.Y.) and freshman Dan Wilson (somewhere) contributed one apiece.  Keith picked up a team-high seven ground balls for the Lasers.

Junior Matt Johansmeyer (Shelburne Falls, Mass.) topped the Panther offense with a pair of goals, while classmates Brian Giroux (Wolfeboro Falls, N.H.), Brett Zebrowski (Bayville, N.Y.), Adam Rothbart (Portland, Maine/Deering) and Tim Hadley (New London, N.H./Kearsarge) and sophomore Andrew Eriksen (Beverly, Mass.) contributed one goal each.  Junior Steve Engel (South Windsor, Conn.) collected a team-high five ground balls and won seven face-offs.

Plymouth State, 0-3, opens Little East Conference play this Saturday with a visit to Western Connecticut State University for a 3:00 p.m. opening face-off.  Lasell, 2-5, opens Pilgrim League action Saturday at MIT (11:00 a.m.)
