PSU Men’s Lacrosse goalie honored by LEC
Kutz represents Panthers as Goalie of the Week
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The starting goalie on the Plymouth State University men's lacrosse team was recognized by the Little East Conference Monday as the first round of spring weekly honors was release by the conference office.
Junior Jesse Kutz (Hopkinton, Mass.) was named LEC Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week after leading the Panthers to a pair of season opening wins. A first-year starter, it is the first time in his career that Kutz has been recognized by the LEC.
A 5'8", 230-pound junior, Kutz posted a 2-0 record with a 4.67 goals against average and a .720 save percentage in PSU's 2-0 week. He needed to make just two saves in 30 minutes of action in Thursday's 17-6 win over Saint Joseph's College (Maine), and he made 16 saves in a complete-game effort Saturday in a 16-5 win over the University of New England. He also picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers in the two wins.
PSU, 2-0, is back in action this Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. face-off at Castleton State College.
