PSU Men’s Lacrosse player honored by ECAC
Lee repeats as New England Co-Defensive Player of the Week
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Freshman Brandon Lee (Canton, Mich./Salem) is starting to pile up weekly awards for the Plymouth State University men's lacrosse team.
The Panther face-off specialist was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Lacrosse Co-Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday. It's the second straight week he's earned the ECAC honor, and he's been the Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Week both weeks as well. He shares this week's ECAC honor with Gordon College goalie Cody Greenwald.
A 6'0", 188-pound short stick middie, Lee won 12 of 14 face-offs as PSU defeated Massachusetts Maritime, 12-5. The Panther freshman also picked up eight ground balls to claim both the Little East Conference Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week awards as PSU (2-1) posted its second straight win.
Lee is ranked second in face-off winning percentage (.760) in the latest NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse national statistics. He is also tied for 20th with 8.0 ground balls per game.
