Haversat, Sorrentino named to Second Team for Panthers

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Little East Conference Men's Lacrosse All-Star teams were announced Tuesday and two Plymouth State University student-athletes were honored with All-Conference recognition for 2017.

Seniors Adam Haversat (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) and Nicco Sorrentino (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) were All-LEC Second Team selections for the Panthers, Haversat at long-stick midfield and Sorrentino at attack. The All-Conference teams are selected by a vote of the league's head coaches.

A four-year veteran for the Panthers, Haversat has been an outstanding defensive player and a menace on ground balls his entire career. He ranks second in the Little East this spring with 42 caused turnovers and 107 ground balls, and ranks 26th nationally in caused turnovers and 48th in ground balls. Haversat owns the school records for both ground balls in a season (107) and career (312).

A three-year veteran attackman, Sorrentino ranks fifth in the LEC with 41 goals this season, and fourth with 62 points. He scored at least three goals in nine of PSU's 17 games, including a career-high six goals against LEC champion Keene State. Sorrentino recorded his 100th career point in an LEC playoff game against Western Connecticut, the 28th player in school history to reach the milestone, and finished the season with career totals of 63 goals, 41 assists and 104 points.

The two Panther All-Stars were key players as PSU finished with a 9-8 overall record and tied for third in the Little East with a 4-3 conference mark.
