PSU Men's Lacrosse to host golf tournament as part of Alumni Game weekend

Panthers' fundraiser set for Sept. 28 at Waukewan Golf Club

             PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State University men's lacrosse head coach Gordon Webb announced the program's schedule of events for Homecoming weekend today. The team will hold a fundraiser golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 28 at Waukewan Golf Club in Center Harbor, leading up to the annual Alumni Game, slated for Saturday, Sept. 29 following the Homecoming football game against Worcester State (1:00 p.m.).

Golf Tournament Information:

             The golf tournament is open to all Plymouth State faculty, staff, coaches, athletes, alumni, families and friends and was organized by Colin Claflin '17, a two-year captain and four-year member of the program who played for the Panthers from 2014-17.

             Tee-off for the best ball, shotgun start tournament takes place at 10:00 a.m. and the event will include a round of golf, food, prizes and various raffles. Check in is scheduled for 9:00 a.m at the front of the club.

             Various holes will have additional competitions as part of the tournament, including closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt and an overall winner of best team score. All foursomes will be given two carts with their assigned holes to start their round of golf.

             A dinner will be provided following the completion of play. Supporters can register for both golf and dinner ($75/person), just golf ($55/person) or just dinner ($20/person). The dinner is expected to begin around 3:30 p.m. To register and pay online, click here.              All proceeds from the tournament will go to the program's gift account to cover the costs of the team's spring break trip, audio/visual technology and other team needs.

Alumni Game Information:

             The annual Alumni Game will take place on the field between the ALLWell North facility and Currier Field following the Homecoming football game at approximately 3:30 p.m. No prior registration is necessary.
