PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The pairings are now set for the NCAA Division III New England men's soccer regional to be held this weekend at Plymouth State College.

Top-seeded Plymouth State (16-0-2) will face fourth-seeded Amherst College (13-2) Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Panther Field, with second-seeded Middlebury College (13-1) battling third-seeded Williams College (14-1) in the other semi-final Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game). Amherst advanced past the opening round Wednesday with a 2-1 victory over Keene State College in Amherst, Mass. Williams also advanced Wednesday with a 2-0 win over Bowdoin College in Williamstown, Mass.

Wednesday's verdict sets up a rematch of last year's regional final, when Amherst knocked off Plymouth State 3-2 at Bowdoin. Amherst went on to the Division III Final Four before being eliminated by the College of New Jersey, 2-1.

There were 319 schools eligible for the NCAA Division III men's soccer tournament, and 40 received invitations in eight regions. Wheaton College of Illinois is the defending national champion.
