Moiboueyi leads PSC past Bridgewater State

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Junior Antoine Moiboueyi (Gabon, Africa/Acton-Boxborough H.S.) scored three goals and senior Jeremy Gasowski (Lee, NH) added three assists Wednesday evening, leading the Plymouth State College men's soccer team to a 5-1 triumph over Bridgewater State College at Panther Field.

The victory improves PSC's record to 3-1 overall, while Bridgewater drops to 0-3.

PSC got on the board on the first shot on goal just 13 seconds into the contest when freshman Michael Cantelli (Raymond, NH) knocked in his first goal of the season. The Bears answered in the ninth minute when junior Michael Gillingham (Medway, Mass.) converted a pass from Matt Dion (Plymouth, Mass.), heading the ball off the cross bar and into the net.

Panther sophomore Sal Friello (West Haven, Conn.) headed in his first goal of the season at the 30-minute mark, finishing off Gasowski's pass. Gasowski then set up Moiboueyi for his first of the night with just one second remaining in the opening half.

The Panthers carried the play throughout most of the second half, despite playing without two players, who received red cards. Moiboueyi redirected a pass from senior Blair Weeden (North Woodstock, NH) at the 83:43 mark for his second goal, and completed the hat trick, from Gasowski, less than a minute later.

PSC keeper Brad Wilby (Haddonfield, NJ) was called on to make two saves, while Bridgewater's Brian Murphy (Hanson, Mass.) stopped five shots.
