PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Two members of the Plymouth State College men's soccer team have been recognized by the Little East Conference for their performances in two games last week.
Junior Antoine Moiboueyi (Gabon, Africa/Acton Boxborough H.S.-Mass.) was selected the LEC Player of the Week after tallying four goals in the two games, and freshman Michael Cantelli (Raymond, N.H.) was named to the LEC Weekly Honor Roll.
A 6'1 forward, Moiboueyi came off the bench to tally a hat trick for the Panthers in the 5-1 victory over Bridgewater State last Wednesday night. He then collected a pass from senior Jeremy Gasowski (Lee N. H.) and netted the game-winning goal Saturday against the Roger Williams Hawks in the 85th minute.
Cantelli, a starting freshman forward, netted the first goal in just 13 seconds in the victory against Bridgewater State just last Wednesday. He also added an unassisted insurance goal with 2:50 remaining in the 3-1 victory against Roger Williams.
PSC is currently 4-1 in regular season action, and currently ranked 8th in the Division III New England poll. The Panthers return to action Wednesday (Sept. 20th) with a non-conference match at Wheaton (2nd in New England), followed by the LEC opener Saturday (Sept. 23rd) at Eastern Connecticut (1 p.m.)
