PSU Mens Soccer player receives honor from Little East Conference
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the co-captains on the Plymouth State University men's soccer team was recognized by the Little East Conference Monday after leading the Panthers to a pair of overtime victories and sole possession of first place in the LEC.
Senior Bryan Biederman (Holderness, N.H./Plymouth) was named Little East Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. It is the first weekly honor of the season for Biederman, the 2005 LEC Defensive Player of the Year.
A senior defender, Biederman (left) led a strong PSU
defensive effort that allowed only one goal in two overtime
victories. He anchored a unit that allowed only one goal in 101
minutes Wednesday at Worcester State in a 2-1 overtime win, and
blanked 12th-ranked Keene State for all 108 minutes in Saturday's
1-0 double overtime win. PSU is in first place at 3-0-0 in the LEC
and has not allowed a goal in its three conference games this
season.
PSU, 7-1-1 overall, is back in action Sunday, Oct. 8, with an LEC match-up against Southern Maine (1:00 p.m.)
