Shaw, Julseth to represent Panthers among New England's top seniors

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Two members of the Plymouth State University men's soccer team have been selected to compete in the annual New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star Game.

Seniors Dan Shaw (Winchester, England) and Truls Julseth (Fredrikstad, Norway) were both chosen to compete for the NEISL Blue team in the annual contest featuring the top seniors among New England NCAA Division III men's soccer programs. The match will be played at Gordon Field on the campus of Brandeis University on Sunday (Nov. 25) with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.

Shaw earned All-Little East Conference Second Team recognition for the second straight year. The three-year captain started all 15 games for the Panthers, totaling two goals and an assist while anchoring the PSU defense.

Julseth appeared in 13 games, tallying a pair of goals and an assist. The 5-11 midfielder scored the game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw at the University of Massachusetts Boston in mid-October.

The Panthers have been well-represented at the All-Star game in recent years, with six selections since 2015.

Under the direction of 17-year head coach Rob Wright, Plymouth State finished 5-7-3 and 1-5-2 in the LEC while being eliminated from postseason contention on the final day of the regular season. PSU played in five double overtime games and was on the short end of a pair of one-goal games in conference play.
