Brunnette, Bartlett, Lewis honored for Panthers
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – A trio of Plymouth State University men's indoor track and field student-athletes were among those included when the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field All-Region honorees on Monday.
The USTFCCCA handed out a total of 1,460 All-Region honors to 192 different member institutions. Women combined for 740 of the honors, compared to 720 for the men. The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-three relay teams.
Brunnette earned the distinction in the 3000-meter run, while Bartlett was honored for his performance in the mile run. Lewis received the recognition in both the 60-meter hurdles and heptathlon.
All three set school records in their primary events during impressive seasons. Brunnette broke his own record in the 3000m with a time of 8:16.84 on Feb. 9, while Bartlett ran a 4:11.07 mile on the same day. Lewis set the school record in the heptathlon on Feb. 23 with 4,610 points and set a new standard in the 60-meter hurdles last Saturday with a time of 8.29 seconds.
