Lewis and Olson honored for Panthers

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – After a strong showing at the Mary Grinaker Invitational on Saturday, junior Terrell Lewis (Nashua, N.H.) and freshman Michael Olson (Sutton, Mass.) were honored by the Little East Conference (LEC) with weekly recognition.

Lewis had a banner day at the non-scoring meet, setting a school record with the 10th-fastest 60m hurdles time in the nation (8.24), while also placing second in the high jump (1.93 meters) and fifth in the long jump after clearing 6.40 meters to earn LEC Track Athlete of the Week recognition.

Olson also had a school record performance. The rookie shaved 0.30 seconds off the previous program mark in the 800-meter run after winning the event in 1:58.65 to collect LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week honors.

While the indoor season is still in its early stages, both Lewis and Olson are off to great starts. Lewis currently holds the team's best marks in the long jump, high jump and 60m hurdles, while Olson holds the team's fastest mile run and 800-meter run times.

Plymouth State heads to Southern Maine for the USM Invitational III on Saturday (Jan. 25).
