Bartlett earns Rookie of the Week recognition for Panthers

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Another freshman on the Plymouth State University men's track & field team was recognized Monday with a top weekly honor from the Little East Conference (LEC) for his performance in a race last week.

Freshman Warren Bartlett (Loudon, N.H./Bishop Brady) was named LEC Men's Track Rookie of the Week, becoming PSU's third men's track & field team member this spring to receive the top weekly honor for rookies; Isaiah Bolden (Dover, N.H.) and Evan Dolecki (New Hartford, Conn./ Northwestern) were previously honored.

A 5-10 middle distance runner, Bartlett led Plymouth State at MIT's Sean Collier Invitational with a runner-up finish among 39 runners in the 1500 meters. Bartlett's time of 4:01.58 was 0.34 of a second behind the winner, Matthew Dynan of Babson, and meets the England Division III Championships qualifying standard.

Bartlett has continued this spring where he left off during the indoor season, when he captured the Little East Conference championship in the 1000 meter run and placed fourth at the ECAC Championships.

Bartlett and his teammates are set to compete in the Little East Conference Outdoor Championships this Saturday at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
