PSU Softball player earns ECAC weekly honor

Jackson named New England Player of the Week

             PLYMOUTH, N.H. – A day after being named the Little East Conference Player of the Week, a member of the Plymouth State University softball team received a similar honor from the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

            Junior Bekah Jackson (Nashua, N.H./North) was named ECAC Division III New England Softball Player of the Week Tuesday.  She led PSU to a 6-2 record with a .643 batting average, 10 extra-base hits and 11 runs batted in, including a win over Eastern Connecticut State University that snapped ECSU's 21-game conference winning streak.

            In addition, the latest NCAA Division III statistics were release Tuesday, and Jackson is ranked first in the nation in triples (10), sixth in slugging pct. (1.012), 17th in runs scored (37), 20th in on-base pct. (.574), and 21st in batting average (.506).
