Plymouth State and UMass Boston to resume Saturday afternoon
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Little East Conference softball championship game got underway on Friday afternoon at D&M Park, but was halted in the second inning with the University of Massachusetts Boston leading Plymouth State University, 2-0, with one out in the bottom of the second inning.
The game will resume Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., and will pick up from the point where it was halted.
Both PSU and UMB are playing in the LEC Championship game for the first time. Plymouth State is 3-0 in the double-elimination tourney, including a 5-2 victory over the Beacons Thursday night in a semifinal match-up. UMB would have to defeat PSU twice to claim the championship.
