NORTHFIELD, Vt. -- Plymouth State College's women's basketball team picked up a non-conference win Thursday night, knocking off Norwich University 68-59 at Andrews Gymnasium.

The victory improves PSC to 11-6 overall, while the Cadets drop to 10-6.

Sophomore Courtney Albert (Hudson, N.H.) and seniors Kate Fillion (Littleton, N.H.) and Krystyna Zagorski (Matawan, N.J.) led the way for the Panthers. Albert hit 6-of-10 field goal attempts to finish with a team-high 14 points. Fillion drained 6-of-11 from the field to chip in with 13 points, and Zagorski was good on 5-of-7 from the floor to contribute 12 points.

The Panthers trailed 34-31 at halftime, but used solid defense in the second half while outscoring the Cadets 37-25 after the intermission. PSC limited Norwich to 31.4 percent shooting in the game, including just 26.5 percent (9-34) after in the second half.

Plymouth State returns home on Saturday to host defending Little East Conference champion Western Connecticut at Foley Gymnasium (1:00 p.m.). The Panthers will be looking to maintain their perfect record at home, and PSC is unbeaten in seven outings this season at Foley Gym.
