PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Two Plymouth State College basketball players have earned weekly honors in the season's first report from the Little East Conference.
Junior forward Courtney Albert (Hudson, N.H.) was named to the LEC Women's Weekly Honor Roll, and freshman guard Nick Pelotte (Bingham, Maine) was selected LEC Men's Rookie of the Week.
Albert, a 5-9 forward, was named Most Valuable Player of the Swarthmore (Pa.) Tip-Off Tournament after averaging 22.5 points and 10.0 rebounds. She had 26 points and 15 boards in the overtime victory over Trinity College, and came back with 19 points and five rebounds in the championship game against Swarthmore. Both Panther squads open the home portion of their schedules this week with several games at Foley Gymnasium.
