PSU Womens Basketball Player named to LEC Weekly Honor Roll
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the co-captains of the Plymouth State University women's basketball team was recognized by the Little East Conference Monday for her performance in the season-opening tournament last weekend.
Junior guard Ashley White (Merrimack, N.H.) was
selected to the LEC Weekly Honor Roll after her efforts in the
Cobblestone Inn Invitational Friday and Saturday at Foley
Gymnasium. White was instrumental in PSU capturing the tournament
title with wins over Roger Williams University and Daniel Webster
College.
A 5'8" guard, White (left) averaged 11 points, five assists and four rebounds in the two games while shooting 50 percent from the field (8-of-16) and 40 percent from three-point range (4-of-10). She had a team-high 13 points and seven assists in the championship game win over Daniel Webster. White was fifth on the team in scoring last season when she averaged 7.9 points per game. PSU, 2-0, plays its third straight home game this Tuesday, Nov. 22, with a non-conference encounter against Castleton State (5:30 p.m.)
