Get in the Pink Zone with PSU Womens Hoop on Feb. 13
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Plymouth State University Athletics will be sponsoring the WBCA {Women's Basketball Coaches Association} "PINK ZONE" on Saturday, Feb. 13 when the Panthers host the University of Massachusetts Boston at Foley Gymnasium.
The event is co-hosted by the PSU men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams. The women's basketball game tips off at 2:30 p.m., and the men follow at 4:30 p.m. All donations collected at the game will go to the "Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund". It will also be "Senior Day" at Foley Gymnasium, as the PSU men's and women's basketball seniors will be recognized prior to their respective games.
The coaching staff of PSU will be wearing pink along with all the
student-athletes who will wear pink shoelaces. T-shirts will be
available in a campaign to raise awareness and honor those who are,
and have battled breast cancer.
Come and support the Plymouth State Panthers as they tangle with the Beacons of UMass Boston and help increase breast cancer awareness and fight this vicious disease.
The WBCA's "Pink Zone" initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA's nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
