PSU Womens Ice Hockey player earns ECAC honor
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the freshmen on the Plymouth State University women's ice hockey team was honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference on Monday with selection to the ECAC Women's East Weekly Honor Roll.
Freshman Jaimie Camara (Portsmouth, R.I./Portsmouth) was Plymouth State's representative on this week's Honor Roll. She is the first Panther this season to earn such an honor, and just the second since PSU joined the ECAC East prior to last season.
A 5'6" forward, Camara (right) provided a spark to the Panther offense last week, scoring a goal in each game as PSU dropped a two-game series to Southern Maine, 6-1 and 2-1. Her goal in Saturday's 2-1 setback came on the power play, the team's first goal this year with a player-advantage.
PSU, which is looking for its first win of the season, will play its final game of the first semester this Friday at Waterville Valley against Saint Michael's College (6:00 p.m.)
