HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College's Kate Kellar (Pittsfield, Mass.) netted two goals and dished out two assists Friday afternoon, leading the Pilgrims past the visiting Plymouth State University Panthers 6-0 at Lee Clement Arena. The Pilgrims improve to 9-10-3 on the season, while the loss drops the Panthers to 0-19-0 overall.
The Pilgrims started the scoring early as Sam Hippern (Dover, N.H.) recorded her first collegiate goal just 5:39 into the game. NEC would tack on power-play goal late in the period as Kaleigh Costello (Hudson, N.H.) scored off a pass from Hippern.
NEC extended its lead to 5-0 in the second period as Kellar scored both goals, including her fifth of the season at 2:50 and then a rebound of a White shot at the 14:23 mark. NEC's Costello would net the final Pilgrim goal of the afternoon on a Pilgrim power-play in the third period.
