PSU Women’s Hockey players receive ECAC Weekly Honors
Ponte named Goalie of the Week; Cosby on Honor Roll
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Two members of the Plymouth State University women's ice hockey team were recognized Tuesday by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) for their performances in a pair of Panther league games last weekend.

Sophomore Ali Ponte was named ECAC Women's East Goalie of the Week, and freshman Kelsey Cosby was selected to the Weekly Honor Roll. They were instrumental in PSU earning a weekend split against the University of Southern Maine in a pair of one-goal games, including the Panthers' first win of the season Saturday at USM.
A 5'4" goalie, Ponte was PSU's starting goalie in the weekend series vs. USM as she posted a 1-1 record. She finished with a 2.97 goals against average and a .903 saves percentage for the weekend after making 25 saves in Friday night's 4-3 loss and 31 saves in Saturday's 3-2 win.
A 5'7" forward, Cosby was PSU's leading scorer over the weekend with a goal and two assists. She tallied a goal and an assist in Friday night's 4-3 loss to USM and added an assist in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Huskies.
Plymouth State, 1-9-3 overall and 1-5-2 in conference play, are home at Hanaway Rink this weekend for ECAC East games against the University of Massachusetts Boston on Friday (6:00 p.m.) and Saint Anselm College on Saturday (2:30 p.m.)
