PSU Women’s Hockey player named to ECAC Honor Roll
Raimo represents Panthers after win over Nichols
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – One of the freshmen on the Plymouth State University women's ice hockey team was recognized Monday by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) for her performance in a pair of Panther league games last weekend.
Freshman Alysha Raimo (Fitchburg, Mass./The Winchendon School) was named to the ECAC Women's East Weekly Honor Roll. She helped PSU capture its first win of the season last Saturday with a 2-0 win over Nichols College after Friday night's 5-2 setback to eighth-ranked Manhattanville College.
A 5'3" forward, Raimo posted a pair of goals as PSU posted a 1-1 week. Her first goal came in the first period of the 5-2 loss to Manhattanville on Friday and tied the score at 1-1, and her goal in Saturday's win over Nichols Saturday came in the third period as an insurance marker.
Plymouth State, 1-5-0 overall and in conference games, plays three games this week. The Panthers travel to Colby College on Tuesday for a non-conference contest, and meet Franklin Pierce University in a home-and-home weekend series, Friday in Rindge, N.H., and Saturday in Plymouth.
