PSU Women’s Ice Hockey freshman earns weekly recognition
Auby named to ECAC East Honor Roll
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – A freshman on the Plymouth State University women's ice hockey team was honored Monday with weekly recognition from the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Freshman Emily Auby (Stoughton, Wisc.) was named to the ECAC Women's East Weekly Honor Roll after her efforts in a pair of PSU games last week. She helped the Panthers to a 1-1 record and a second-place finish at the Doubletree Women's Ice Hockey Classic, hosted by Saint Michael's College.
A 5'7" forward, Auby was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Doubletree Classic after scoring a goal in each game. She scored a tying power play goal midway through the third period last Friday night in what ended up as a 3-2 win over Nichols College, and she tallied PSU's only marker, again a third-period power play strike, in Saturday's 2-1 setback to Sacred Heart University.
Plymouth State, 3-8-0 overall and 1-6-0 in conference games, begins a seven-game home stand at Hanaway Rink this weekend with games against the University of Southern Maine Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Franklin Pierce University Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
