Lynch named to Weekly Honor Roll as Panther win streak reaches four

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The senior captain on the Plymouth State University women's ice hockey team was honored Monday with weekly recognition from the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC).

Senior Kelsey Lynch (Collegeville, Pa.) was named to the NEHC Weekly Honor Roll for the Panthers. She led the Panthers to a pair of non-conference victories as the Panthers head into the semester break riding a four-game winning streak.

A 5'3" forward, Lynch tallied two goals and two assists in a pair of Panther victories over Johnson & Wales University. She collected two assists in Friday's 6-0 victory over the Wildcats at Hanaway Rink, and scored PSU's first two goals, including the game-winner, in Saturday's rematch in Rhode Island.

Lynch leads the Panthers in scoring with 11 points in 10 games with five goals and six assists. She ranks tied for 11th in the NEHC in goals and tied for 12th in points.

Plymouth State, 6-6-0 overall and 2-4-0 in NEHC games, is back in action on January 8-9, 2016, at the DoubleTree Ice Hockey Classic, hosted by Saint Michael's College. PSU will face off against Sacred Heart University on Friday the 8th and Hamilton College on Saturday the 9th.
