PSU Women’s Ice Hockey players earn NEHC honors

Fourteen Panthers named to All-Academic Team

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its annual All-Academic team selections on Thursday and fourteen members of the Plymouth State University women's ice hockey team were among those honored.

Each of the eight member institutions was represented with 89 total student-athletes earning the honor. The Panthers' 14 honorees were the second most of any school, one behind Norwich University, which led the way with 15.

To be eligible for All-Academic recognition a student must carry a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have completed one full year at their current institution.

Plymouth State enjoyed perhaps its best season in program history. Although the Panthers finished one win shy of matching the program record for wins in a year (10), the team ended the NEHC regular season in fourth place, the highest ever conference finish for PSU. The team earned its first ever home playoff game and captured the program's first post-season win, topping the University of New England in a thrilling overtime game. PSU fell to #1/#2 Norwich in the semifinals to finish the year with a 9-14-4 mark.

A list of the PSU student-athletes to earn recognition is included below. The complete NEHC release is available at www.nehockeyconference.com.
