MacMillan named to Weekly Honor Roll for Panthers

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The leading goal scorer for the Plymouth State University women's ice hockey team was among those student-athletes honored by the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) when the conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday.

Junior Olivia MacMillan (Walpole, Mass.) was selected to the NEHC Women's Hockey Honor Roll after helping the Panthers to a 1-1 week.

MacMillan scored a pair of goals as Plymouth State picked up its first conference win of the year on Friday, topping the University of Massachusetts Boston by a 4-2 score. MacMillan scored the Panthers' first goal of the season, giving PSU a 1-0 lead 7:22 into the second period. She added an empty net goal in the final minute to secure the victory.

On Saturday she added up her third goal in two games when she gave PSU a 1-0 lead with a power play goal in the second period against #2/#3 Norwich University. The Cadets would rally for two goals in the game's final three minutes to survive with a 4-2 win.

MacMillan has already set a new career-high with her three goals.

The Panthers (1-3-0, 1-1-0 NEHC) host a pair of conference games this weekend, starting with Castleton on Friday (Nov. 9) at 6:00 p.m. PSU will also battle New England College on Saturday (Nov. 10) for a Salute the Troops game with puck drop set for 2:00 p.m.
