Now in her third season as women's ice hockey coach at Plymouth State is Heather Hoffay. A 2003 graduate of Hamilton College, Hoffay served as assistant women's ice hockey coach at both Trinity College and Wesleyan University before coming to Plymouth State in 2006. She is the first varsity women's ice hockey coach at PSU, as the sport was elevated to varsity status in 2006 just prior to her arrival.
Hoffay was a four-year letterwinner in both ice hockey and
volleyball and a three-year letterwinner in softball at Hamilton.
She was very involved in the Hamilton Student-Athlete Advisory
Committee and graduated magna cum laude with a double major
(Psychology and Classical Studies).
Hoffay served two years as assistant women's ice hockey coach at Trinity from 2003-05 before serving last season as assistant coach at Wesleyan while working towards her Masters degree. She has also worked several ice hockey camps, including summer camps at Cornell and Brown University and the USA Hockey New England Player Development Camp.
