            Amanda Fontaine joins the coaching staff for her first season in 2018-19. A 2016 graduate of Sacred Heart University, Fontaine comes to Plymouth State after spending last season as the lead goaltending coach at Nichols College. Her prior coaching experience also includes two seasons as an assistant coach at Northfield Mount Hermon.

            Fontaine played as a goalkeeper for four years at NCAA Division I Sacred Heart, where she logged 2184:50 in net over 43 games, including 36 starts. She wrapped up her career with 1,159 saves, a 2.97 goals against average and .915 save percentage. During her senior campaign in 2015-16, Fontaine posted a career-best 1.82 GAA and a .936 save percentage, before earning her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.

            During her time at Sacred Heart, Fontaine also worked in the Game Operations department for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. In 2016 she was selected in the 13th round of Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) draft by the Boston Blades, with whom she signed a two-year contract.
