Academic All-District Honor for O'Sullivan
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - A Plymouth State College women's lacrosse player has been honored for her accomplishments in the classroom and on the field by being named to the Verizon Academic All-District I Team.
Senior Courtney O'Sullivan (East Kingston, N.H.) was voted onto the Academic All-District Team as a College Division Women's Spring At-Large selection. The Verizon Academic All-District and All-America Teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
A marketing major, O'Sullivan has maintained a 3.63 grade point average in the classroom. In addition to serving as PSC Student Body Vice-President and President the past two years, she is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Delta Mu Delta Honor Societies. She has been on the PSC President's List every semester, and has been the recipient of the Hazel Balch Moore Business Scholarship.
O'Sullivan has been extremely successful on the field hockey and lacrosse fields as well, serving as co-captain and helping both Panther teams to conference championships and NCAA Tournament berths this past school year. She was a Little East Conference All-Star in field hockey, and was named New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance Defensive Player of the Week once each of the past two seasons. O'Sullivan received the prestigious Panther Award from the lacrosse team earlier this month.
The Verizon Academic All-America program includes University and College Division Teams for football, women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, and Men's and Women's At-Large Teams for Fall/Winter and Spring. There are eight All-District Teams as well as the Academic All-America National Teams.
