PSU Womens Lacrosse player named to ECAC Team
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the top players on the Plymouth State University women's lacrosse team has been voted to the 2009 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England All-Star Team, as voted by the head coaches in New England.
Freshman Nicole Grover (Yarmouth, Maine/Yarmouth)
represented the Panthers as an ECAC All-Star Second Team
defender. She is the only freshman to make either the First
or Second Team. Grover was named First Team All-Little East
Conference earlier this month.
A solid defensive player, Grover (right) collected 25 ground balls and 29 draw controls this spring, both second-best on the team. She was also a strong contributor to the offense, ranking fourth on the team in scoring with 28 goals, seven assists and 35 points.
Grover was a key player for a Panther team that posted a 6-9 overall record, a five-game improvement over last year and a jump of four spots to third place in the Little East Conference standings.
