Little East weekly honors for PSU Women’s Lax players

Guest, McNabb recognized for Panthers

            PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Two members of the Plymouth State University women's lacrosse team were honored by the Little East Conference Monday with LEC Player of the Week honors.

            Junior Kristen Guest was selected the LEC Defensive Player of the Week, and freshman Meghan McNabb was tabbed as Rookie of the Week for the second straight week.  They were the leaders in PSU's non-conference victory last Wednesday at Worcester State University.

            A junior midfielder, Guest led a PSU defense that allowed only three goals to the Lancers. She recorded a team-high six caused turnovers and picked up a team-high six ground balls along with one draw control.  Guest also chipped in on offense with a goal and an assist.

            A freshman attacker, McNabb recorded a team-high eight points on three goals and five assists in PSU's win at Worcester State.  She collected seven points (two goals, five assists) in the first half as PSU opened up a 14-1 lead.  McNabb also won last week's award after a seven-point game at Springfield.

            PSU, 1-1 overall, is headed to Dallas later this week, where they will meet the University of Dallas on Thursday and Pacific University (Oregon) on Saturday.
