MacDonald leads Panthers to Little East win
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Sophomore Amy MacDonald (Hull, Mass.) scored four goals and registered three assists Saturday afternoon to lead the Plymouth State University women's lacrosse team to an 11-7 win over Eastern Connecticut State University in Little East Conference action at Arold Field.
Sophomores Shannon Connerty (Nashua, N.H.) and Meghan McNabb (Lexington, Mass.) each chipped in with two goals for the winners as the Panthers improved to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the LEC. Eastern Connecticut drops to 3-8 and 1-2.
Plymouth State raced out to a 5-0 advantage in the first 10 minutes of the contest. Senior Caitlin Swanson (Holderness, N.H.) started things out with an unassisted goal six minutes into the game and then two minutes later sophomore Rachel Fistori (Medford, Mass.) finished a pass from MacDonald. MacDonald tacked on two more scores and Connerty added another before the Warriors could get on the scoreboard.

PSU was able to hold off any comeback attempt by Eastern Connecticut after goals by MacDonald and Meghan Grabowski (West Harford, Conn.).
