Post-season honors continue for Field
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – More post-season honors have come the way of the Plymouth State University women's lacrosse starting goalie as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced the 2014 Division III New England All-Stars.
PSU senior Lorin Field (Hollis, N.H./Hollis-Brookline) was named ECAC First Team All-Star at the goalie position. Field has previously been named Second Team All-American and First Team All-Pilgrim Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Star by the Little East Conference.
Field enjoyed another stellar season for the Panthers. She finished second nationally this spring with a .591 save percentage after leading the nation in the category last season. She was selected LEC Goalie of the Week four times this season and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Defensive Player of the Week twice. Field, who was named Most Outstanding Player as PSU captured the LEC Tournament championship, completes her career with a school standard 41 victories (41-18) and a record 545 saves, posting an 8.38 goals against average and a .554 saves percentage.
PSU finished the season with a 12-5 overall record, and a 4-2 mark in the Little East. The Panthers, under head coach Kristin Tracy, captured the Little East Conference Tournament Championship and earned its fifth appearance in the NCAA Championships, falling to Colby College in the second round.
