Tingley recognized for Panthers for strong offensive performance
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – A standout midfielder on the Plymouth State University women's lacrosse team was recognized Monday with a weekly honor from the Little East Conference (LEC) for her performance in the Panthers' only game last week.
Junior Megan Tingley (Natick, Mass.) was named LEC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. She was a standout performer for PSU in a 14-12 loss last Saturday in the season opener at MIT.
A 5'4" midfielder, Tingley recorded seven points in the setback at MIT with five goals and two assists. She also collected four draw controls and one caused turnover. Tingley tallied three goals and an assist in the first half and added two goals and an assist after the break. She was named a First Team All-LEC selection a year ago.
The Panthers, 0-1, will be back in action Tuesday, March 21, with a non-conference match-up at Oneonta State (N.Y.) at 4:00 p.m.
