High Rankings for PSC Wrestlers
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Four individuals on the Plymouth State College wrestling team are ranked in the top four of their weight class by the New England University Conference Wrestling Association.
Senior Shaun Cleary (West Keansburg, N.J.) and junior Nate Kittredge (Vergennes, Vt.) are both ranked No. 2 in their weight classes, Cleary at 141 pounds and Kittredge at 184. Junior Rich Moskowitz (Amherst, N.H.) is the third-ranked wrestler at 157 pounds, and sophomore Dan Moskowitz (Amherst, N.H.) is ranked fourth at 149.
Cleary is enjoying a terrific season at 141, posting a 28-2 record to date. He has won his last 13 bouts and is tied for the national Division III lead with 28 victories. He is also tied for sixth in the nation with a .933 winning percentage. Cleary has placed in the top three in all five tournaments in which he has wrestled this season, including three individual titles.
The other three Panther wrestlers are also having strong seasons, and will be srong contenders for New England titles next month. Kittredge has recorded a 16-3 overall record, while Rich Moskowitz is 19-5 and Dan Moskowitz is 11-6.
The Panthers, 4-4 in dual meets, are slated to compete against WPI Wednesday (Jan. 29) in Worcester, Mass. (7:00 p.m.).
