PSU Wrestlers finish third at Roger Williams Tournament

            BRISTOL, R.I. - The Plymouth State University wrestling team had one individual champion and six place-winners on Sunday en route to a third-place finish out of four varsity teams at the Scott Viera Invitational, hosted by Roger Williams University.

            Host Roger Williams won the event, scoring 155 points in the 10 weight classes.  Williams College was runner-up with 139.5 points, followed by PSU with 67 and Norwich with 58.8.  The Brown University club team also had a strong team, including two individual champions.

            Senior Josh St. Ours (Manchester, N.H./Memorial) won the 285-pound weight class for Plymouth State, defeating Tim Kiely of Williams College in the title bout, 8-2.  Sophomore Kyle Moseley (Hooksett, N.H.) finished third in the 174-pound weight class, defeating Nathaniel Kastan of Williams in his final bout, 14-3.

            PSU had two place-winners in each of the two lightest weight classes. Senior Chris Greenwood (Manchester, N.H./West) and freshman Tom Paolera (Andover, Mass.) placed second and fifth, respectively, at 133 pounds, and freshman Josh Huber (Hampton, N.H./WInnacunnet) and junior Fred Wilkinson (Quogue, N.Y.) finished third and sixth, respectively, at 125 pounds.

            The Panthers return to the mat next Saturday when they host the annual PSU Invitational at Foley Gymnasium, an all-day event that begins at 10:00 a.m.
