PSU Wrestler moves up in regional rankings

da Silva advances one spot after season opener 

            PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The top returning wrestler for Plymouth State University moved up in the latest New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) rankings when the newest list was announced Wednesday evening.

            Sophomore Dylan da Silva (Bayville, N.J.), who debuted at number seven at 184 pounds in the preseason rankings, has moved up one spot to sixth.

            da Silva, who finished last season with an 11-2 mark and four pins, got off to a good start in the Panthers' season opening loss against New England College on Monday. In the eighth bout of the night, da Silva made quick work of his opponent en route to a 16-1 technical fall victory.

            Plymouth State heads to Springfield College for the Doug Parker Invitational on Saturday (Nov. 17). A year ago da Silva was the team's top performer, placing fifth at 185 pounds.
