da Silva climbs to sixth at 184 pounds
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Despite not competing in the team's last three matches of the semester, the top wrestler for Plymouth State University moved up in the latest New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) individual rankings.
Sophomore Dylan da Silva (Bayville, N.J.), who has been ranked between sixth and seventh all season, climbed back to sixth at 184 pounds.
da Silva missed the final three matches of the semester, a dual meet against Norwich University, and tri-meet with the University of Southern Maine and Rhode Island College, due to injury, but still leads the Panthers with six wins and three pins. He placed at both tournaments PSU has wrestled in, taking fourth at both the Doug Parker Invitational at Springfield College and the Ted Reese Invitational at Southern Maine.
The complete NEWA individual rankings can be found here.
Plymouth State returns to action on Sunday (Jan. 6) when the Panthers head to Roger Williams University for the Scott Viera Invitational beginning at 9:30 a.m.
