PSC Women selected to Senior All-Star Games
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Two Plymouth State College female student-athletes have been selected to play in senior all-star games this weekend, representing the best in the region in their particular sport.
Seniors Tara Dickson (Sussex, NJ) of the PSC soccer team and Jill Langis (Farmington, NH) of the Panther volleyball team have been selected. Dickson will play for the Division III team in the 1999 Senior Bowl this Sunday at 11 a.m. at Boston University, and Langis will participate in the 13th Annual New England Women's Volleyball Association Senior Classic Match Sunday at 1 p.m. at WPI in Worcester.
Dickson is finishing up a superb career in a Panther uniform. She led the team in scoring this season with nine goals and nine assists and was named a Little East Conference Second-Team All-Star. Dickson finished her career with 24 goals, 19 asssists and 67 points, ranking tied sixth on PSC's all-time scoring list in all three departments. She helped the Panthers to a 12-6-1 overall record this season, and a 47-22-6 mark the last four years.
Langis is completing a four-year career for the PSC women's volleyball program. She showed improvement every season, and moved into a starting role as a junior. Langis had her best season as a senior, registering 289 kills, 71 service aces and a career-high 481 digs. She now owns school records for the four-year old PSC program in career kills (666) and aces (167) and she ranks second in digs (1,023). She helped the Panthers to a 23-11 record in 1999, and a 92-35 mark in her four years
