Panther player named to LEC Honor Roll
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - A freshman on the Plymouth State College women's soccer team has been selected to the Little East Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the first week of the 2000 season.
Freshman Katie Sheridan (West Sayville, NY) earned Honor Roll status after scoring the first two goals of her collegiate career in a 5-1 victory over Bridgewater State last Wednesday. A forward/midfielder, Sheridan's first score gave PSC a 3-0 lead just 17 minutes into the match, and her second goal, in the second half, provided the final margin of victory.
Sheridan has been a starter for PSC, which is off to a 3-1 start under second-year head coach Rebecca Lisack. The Panthers defeated Colby-Sawyer Monday, 4-0, and have outscored their opponents 11-3.
PSC continues its five-game road trip Wednesday (Sept. 13) at Brandeis (4 p.m.) and Saturday (Sept. 16) at UMass Boston (2 p.m.). The next home game is Thursday (Sept. 21) against St. Michael's College (4 p.m.).
