PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Senior Carrie Poulin (Westfield, Mass.) scored four times, including three in the first half on Saturday, leading Plymouth State College to a 7-0 victory over the University of Massachusetts Boston in a Little East Conference women's soccer game at Panther Field.
Plymouth State out shot UMass Boston 34-0 in the first half, scoring six goals. Also scoring for the Panthers were junior Sandra Petlick (New Castle, N.H.), with two goals and two assists, and senior Jill Wolters (Vernon, N.J.) with one goal and one assist. Other assisting Panthers were seniors Krisy Menard (Franklin, Vt.) and Beth Dooly (Goffstown, N.H.) and sophomore Katie Sheridan (W. Sayvillle, N.Y.).
UMass Boston's keeper, Kristen Bowes (Quincy, Mass.) was tested with a barrage of shots, making 30 saves, including 24 in the first half. PSC's goalie Becky Kennedy (W. Springfield, Mass.) was uncontested.
Plymouth State completes its six-game homestand this Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 4:00 p.m. against Salem State. PSC is away next Saturday, Sept. 29, as they travel to Eastern Connecticut for a 1:00 p.m. kick off.
