PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the freshmen on the Plymouth State College women's soccer team was honored Monday by the Little East Conference for her performance in a Panther victory last week.
Freshman Michelle Dubois (Auburn, Maine) was named LEC Women's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week. She shares the honor with Jen Ferrari of Eastern Connecticut.
A first-year midfielder, Dubois single-handedly lifted the Panthers to a 5-1 win over Colby-Sawyer last Thursday. With her team trailing 1-0, Dubois scored three times in a span of 3:29 late in the first half to give the Panthers the victory. She is now third on the team in scoring with four goals.
The PSC women dropped to 5-6-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the conference after Saturday's heartbreaking 1-0 overtime loss at Keene State. The Panthers will try to get back on the winning track Wednesday (Oct. 10) in a non-conference affair at Bowdoin (4:00 p.m.).
