WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Sara Richard (Newburyport, Mass.) scored two goals Tuesday night to lead the Worcester State College women's soccer team to a 3-0 non-conference victory over Plymouth State University.

Richard scored for the Lancers 13 minutes into the game on a penalty kick, and the hosts maintained the 1-0 advantage throughout the first half.  Freshman Lauren Cush (Hudson, Mass.) scored to give Worcester State a two-goal lead 15 minutes into the second half, and Richard added an insurance goal four minutes later.

WSC finished with a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal.  Lancers keeper Kim Massa (Westford, Mass.) recorded the shutout with a three-save effort.  PSU junior Hayley Quinones (Waitsfield, Vt.) made two saves before giving way to classmate Beth McAloon (Bedford, N.H.) for the final 17 minutes.
