Two PSU Womens Soccer players named All-Conference
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - A pair of sophomores on the Plymouth State University women's soccer team have earned Little East Conference All-Star status for the 2004 season, according to the vote of the league's head coaches.
Sophomore back Allison Frobey (Sandy Hook, Conn./Newtown) and sophomore midfielder Kelsey McBride (Brookline, N.H./Hollis-Brookline) were both selected to the All-LEC Second Team. It is the first All-Conference honor for both individuals.
Frobey and McBride were the standouts on a Panther team that finished the season with a 6-10-1 overall record. PSU tied for fifth in the LEC during the regular season, and was eliminated from the conference tournament by Southern Maine in the first round.
A 5'2" center back, Frobey backboned the Panther defense that
posted five shutouts this season and allowed two or fewer goals in
12 of 17 games. She has started every game in her two seasons at
PSU, and this year she also contributed two assists. Frobey just
completed her first season as one of the Panther team captains.

A 5'6" midfielder, McBride led the Panthers in scoring this season
with four goals and two assists. Three of her goals were
game-winners, which tied her for second place in the conference in
that department. A two-year starter, McBride was fifth on the team
in scoring last season with a goal and four assists.
