PSU Women’s Soccer Coach resigns

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Plymouth State University is looking for a new women's soccer coach following the resignation of former head coach Keith Scarlett.

Scarlett, who guided the Panther women's soccer program the past four years as a part-time coach, is stepping down for family reasons. Scarlett will remain in the position until Jan. 28, 2005.

During his four years at Plymouth State, Scarlett led the Panthers to a 28-38-3 overall record, including a 13-13-2 mark in the Little East Conference.  PSU's best season under Scarlett was 2003, when the team finished 10-7-1 overall, 5-2 in the LEC, and qualified for the ECAC New England Tournament.

Becky Kennedy, who has been an assistant coach the past three seasons, will serve as an interim contact person in the women's soccer office, handling recruiting and administrative duties, according to PSU Athletic Director John P. Clark.
