Panthers move on to the LEC tournament

Dartmouth, Ma. – The Plymouth State University women's soccer team could not fend off the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth today in this Little East Conference showdown for home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.  The Corsairs capitalized early in the first, and secured the shutout late in the second to finish the season as the fourth seed moving into the LEC tournament.  The Panther loss puts them into the fifth seed, and they will travel again to UMD, where they will try to dock the Corsairs, and advance to play number one seed, Eastern Connecticut, next Thursday.  Plymouth finishes out the regular season with its best record since 2003.
