Panther sophomore captures ninth place on one-meter
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Sophomore Shannon Rogers represented Plymouth State University at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships Saturday, placing ninth in the one-meter event.
Rogers was one of just 11 women who qualified for the New Englands (by exceeding 170 points in one-meter diving events in two different dual meets). She scored 281.95 on 11 dives at the championships, 18 points behind Dani Core of Western Connecticut State University and nearly four points ahead of Brittany Boufard of Roger Williams University.
The NEISDA Diving Championships are being hosted this weekend at UMass Dartmouth, while the Swimming Championships are slated for next weekend, Feb. 17-19, in White River Jct., Vt.
