WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University swept all 16 events Friday afternoon to defeat Plymouth State University, 157-90, as both schools opened the 2013 portion of the women's swimming and diving schedule at the Dana Center Pool.
Seniors Taryn Dooley and Monika Drogosz and junior Amanda Le led the Falcons with two individual victories apiece. Dooley won the 50- and 100-yard backstroke races; Drogosz took the 100-yard free and the 50-yard butterfly, and Le touched the wall first in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard breaststroke.
Freshman Nicola Mancini also had an outstanding day for Bentley on the diving boards, winning both the one- and three-meter events. Her score of 289.50 on the one-meter board set a Bentley school and pool record for the six-dive format.
