Record-setting Allaire grabs fourth weekly honors
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The sole diver for the Plymouth State University women's swimming and diving team has been honored by the Little East Conference (LEC) for the fourth time this season.
Sophomore Casey Allaire (Mattapoisett, Mass.) was named the LEC Diver of the Week yet again after another impressive showing on the board during the team's dual meet at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on Saturday.
Allaire kicked off her day with a victory on the 1-meter board where she scored 225.25 points, but she saved her best for last. Her score of 268.05 in the 3-meter dive topped her own previous record of 258.65, set just eight days earlier in a setback to the University of St. Joseph.
The defending New England champion at both heights has won every diving event she's entered this season, and she now owns half of the program's school records.
The Panthers wrap up the regular season with a final dual meet at Western Connecticut State University on Sunday (Jan. 28) starting at 1:00 p.m.
